Follow-up care after privately funded bariatric (weight loss) surgery in UK or abroad.
This statement has been developed in response to BOB ICB and LMC colleagues requesting a clear statement for patients and public to advice that after-care for two years after privately-funded surgery cannot be provided or arranged by GPs and must be purchased by the patient.
The intention is for this statement to support conversations between GPs and patients.
